Strengthening the Executive Team for Growth

Over the past month, our Executive Team has seen growth and change across our commercial and financial departments. We’re pleased to welcome Bettina Brierley as our new Chief Commercial Officer, and Kerry Crawford as our new Chief Financial Officer, following the departure of Donal Fullerton.

Bettina Brierley, Chief Commercial Officer

Bettina is a highly skilled executive with over 35 years of experience in the chemical industry, specialising in sales, business development, and key account management. With significant expertise in the industry, she is well positioned to bring Celtic Renewables’ green chemicals to the global market. Her career began at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt, within the surfactants division. Then joining Clariant AG, where she carried out business development roles across multiple sectors, including oil exploration, de-icing, pharmaceuticals, biocides, metal working, and home care across the UK and Europe.

In 2020, Bettina joined Caldic UK Ltd, a global speciality chemical distributor, and led the product management and sales team. Where she successfully expanded Caldic’s supplier base, improved margin development and built a high-performing and results driven team.

With a strong entrepreneurial and business sense, Bettina is recognised for building strong relationships with stakeholders, combining her passion for sustainability and circularity with her ability to make bold and strategic decisions that drive success.

Kerry Crawford, Chief Financial Officer

Experienced CFO with over 30 years international experience leading finance, funding, corporate, investor relations and transformation activities within a variety of businesses.

Kerry graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a BA (Accountancy and Finance) and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY in Edinburgh in 1995. She then moved into the energy sector where she spent the next 20 years in a variety of senior finance positions within publicly listed entrepreneurial companies, Cairn Energy PLC (10 years) and then Bowleven PLC where she was involved in multiple equity raises and corporate transactions and led several debt/project financings.

Kerry has since used her extensive experience in other dynamic, fast-growing companies in a variety of sectors, including Cloudreach (Cloud services), Edinburgh University spin-off Blackford Analysis (Healthcare/AI) and most recently PE backed KCOM (Hull-Telecoms).

Kerry is also an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT)

With Bettina’s industry experience, we are well positioned to drive commercial growth and bring our sustainable chemicals to the global market and Kerry’s extensive financial leadership will be instrumental in advancing our growth plans.
