Role Purpose:
Celtic Renewables are excited to recruit for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician who will play an integral part in the successful commissioning and future operation of the plant. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to be a part of the team delivering the Company Vision: “To be the World Leader in ABE Fermentation as a Global Sustainable Industry”. This is an important role within Celtic Renewables Manufacturing Team, based out of our Grangemouth site.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, and oversee routine inspections and servicing by equipment suppliers, ensuring that the planned preventative maintenance tasks and servicing are completed as per schedule.
- You will be responsible for the management of the stores, and the spares that are carried on site. The site stores must well maintained and controlled at all times.
- Lead and support improvements through CI initiatives and preventative actions
- Drive and own root cause analysis completion
- Ambassador for engineering standards and best practice across site
- Effective capture of all reactive/planned maintenance activities in CMMS
- You will create documentation where applicable to ensure that routine checks and tasks are carried out consistently and use these to train members of the operations team to carry out these tasks as required.
- In conjunction with the Operations Leadership Team (OLT), there will be occasions where you will provide on-call support as and when required for unplanned maintenance.
Skills & Experience:
- A multi-disciplined engineer with relevant experience, ideally in a similar industry.
- A minimum level 3 C&G / SVQ or equivalent (mechanical or electrical).
- Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 415V.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (e.g. P&ID’s, electrical panel drawings, etc).
- Excellent fault finding and troubleshooting skills both electrically and mechanically.
- Relevant manufacturing background.
- HV knowledge and awareness.
- Candidates will have practical hands-on experience of some/all of the following: pumps, heath exchangers, valves, agitators, conveyors, pressure systems (steam, compressed air, nitrogen), distillation columns, instrumentation such as flow, level, pressure, temperature, etc.
- SCADA experience preferred, ideally PCS7
- CompEx trained.
- Previous experience of CMMS.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Computer literate & software familiarity (word, excel).
- Be within commutable distance to the site (FK3 8TR) or willing to relocate for the vacancy.
Hours
- Day shift or back shift with flexibility to be on call.
